Seems a little full on to me. Why no pictures of Prince Charming?
==============================================
A 23-year-old woman attempted to kill herself multiple times Tuesday night in a hotel in Heilongjiang province following her long-awaited first face-to-face meeting with her handsome online beau, which didn't go quite as she had dreamed of.
The incident took place on the seventh floor of a hotel room located in Mudanjiang city. As soon as the police arrived, the furious and disappointed woman ran to the balcony and stood with one leg over, shouting "You cheated me!" at her former sweetheart, according to local police.
After getting the woman off the balcony, police separated the two and tried to calm them down individually. Suddenly the woman swallowed a handful of sleeping pills and tried to pick up a piece of broken glass to slit her wrists. The police immediately stopped her and called for an ambulance to send her to the hospital for treatment.
According to the distraught woman's mom, her daughter is from Jilin province while the man she came to see is from Heilongjiang province. The two met online and soon started dating. The woman's family disapproved of their relationship since their daughter was 10 years younger than her online boyfriend. Going against her parents' wishes, the woman insisted on traveling to finally set her eyes upon her loved one.
Apparently, she felt somewhat let down when she actually did see her boyfriend's true appearance for the first time.
The woman isn't in life-threatening condition, but she did manage to swallow pieces of broken glass in her rage and will need to remain in the hospital for further observation.
The story has left thousands of netizens concerned and flummoxed. One netizen commented, "There's no reason for her to end her life just because he wasn't as good-looking as his web pictures. Doesn't she know that her parents would be sad if she died?"
"How ugly is this man to make her want to die?" wondered another netizen.
A less gruesome but similar situation happened recently as an online couple was filmed getting into a heated argument in the middle of the street after meeting for the first time in real life, with each one accusing the other of sending deceiving pictures on the internet.
